You wouldn’t think going to the Zoo is something romantic to do would you? I didn’t before.. I met my wife! I never went to the Zoo before her.
She loves going there. We have a Milwaukee Zoo membership and go probably 8-10 times a year. All seasons..
But there is so much great stuff to do there! And it’s another one of our great traditions. It’s something we do *TOGETHER*. You’ll see me talk a lot about establishing things you do together; this is one of those things.
And it’s not all about the animals. There are places to sit and just chat.. you can walk and hold each other’s hands.. there’s good food. They have special nights or days where restaurants come in to set up and provide their unique brands of food.
We love going for special exibits. We can get in for special events for members. So it is about the animals too! But it’s something we do… *TOGETHER*.
Something to give a try with especially if you partner is an animal lover!
You might even find you have some favs that turn into stuffed animal collections at home.
My wife loves Hippos these days and adopted one at the Zoo. They gave her a stuffed version of the Hippo and looking at the back of our couch..
..I think there’s some funny business going on; they seem to be multiplying.

For lunch today my wife and I went to our favorite restaurant. We always have the same dish together. It’s not the first time.
We have eaten at this same restaurant dozens and dozens of times over the years. Sometimes, like today, it’s just for a quick lunch… just because. But then we have days of the years, holidays, that we always make sure we go to this restaurant for lunch.
It’s tradition.. it’s something special.
It’s a place we KNOW we will always have good food at; it’s always a great experience.
It’s a place we both feel comfortable at; the atmosphere is a touch romantic, but really just calm and the perfect place for conversation. We have the greatest converstions here.
So that’s something to think about in your own relationship.
Do you have a place the both of you can make your own? That can be a place where you can be the most comfortable, always have a great experience so you can just concentrate on each other and pleasant conversations?
I think it’s important to have a place like that and traditions. Establishing something that you both do even on the same date or for specific occassions can be one of the most romantic things you can do and without a doubt bring you closer together.
Just Do It!

I just ran across this article at the Washington Post called, Find Love On Your iPhone With Match.com! This is GREAT news for those of you looking for the love of your life.
I have Apple’s iPhone and I can tell you it’s an incredible device! Truly.. the reason I got it is because I liked the Internet Browser. I run my Internet Business full-time and with the iPhone I’m able to manage things remotely away from my office.
Well, after getting the device, I’ve been floored by the other applications I’ve taken advantage of! It’s no wonder they blew by their goal and sold 13.7 million iPhones in 2008! Since the App Store opened last year there have been over 25,000 applications created for the iPhone.
And it doesn’t surprise me at all that dating sites will take advantage of this awesome platform to help their users connect with their love interests on the go. It’s almost the perfect match; especially for those with a busy schedule and that don’t want to miss the important connection.
At Isn’t that incredible!? And now all these people will have the ability to connect on the go.
I think this is only the beginning. Why would someone want to be tied to their computer searching for their love or communicating with them? Why not be able to hang out with friends, sit at the bar or travel elsewhere and have all your potential mates right at your fingertips.
I know I would love that.. if I was still single.

How bad have you had it? I’ve met a lot of parents over the years… well, since my wife only one set, but before that at least a dozen sets.
There were a number of parents I didn’t get a long with.. or they just didn’t like me. Of course, some of those were the days I had long hair so that didn’t help.
I remember only one out of all the ladies I dated where the parents grilled me with questions.. Yes, well to-do parents. Her dad owned a large, popular insurance agency. So they had money; I’m sure they just wanted to make sure their daughter was dating an outstanding citizen. I have no problem with that.. it’s the cornering approach.
I remember showing up at my dates door.. living with her parents (right there that should have been a bad sign, but she was cute so I went with it..).. having no awareness of what was going to happen.
I was sat down in the Den.. my date disappeared upstairs and I sat there in the spotlight being grilled for what seemed an eternity.. it might have only been 10 minutes.
…This happened when I was in my mid-20s.. imagine the horror!
Have you gone through this?
I’m not talking about the good experiences.. the awful, uncomfortable ones. Or what strange things did you have to endure just to go on the first date?
Needless to say this relationship didn’t last.. too bad too. She was a looker! About 92 pounds soaking wet!
